Bernie was a member of Colonial Baptist Church and a retired professor from Eastern Gateway Community College. After his retirement, Bernie was a deliveryman for Diamond Drug, enjoying conversations with the customers and visiting with their pets.
Preceding Bernie in death were his wife's parents Paul and Jane Hlivko.
Bernie is survived by his wife Kimberly; daughter Jenee Levite; son Daniel (Jessica) Levite; grandchildren Dana, Brandon and Trenton Levite; sister Michele Yocum (friend Ron Anderson); brother Robert Levite (fiance Deb); and two feline grandbabies Khaleesi and Zoe.
Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Wednesday 4-7 p.m.; where services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday with Rev. Randy Sells officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben.
