Rebecca George

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing"

2 Timothy 4:7-8

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Rebecca George.

Rebecca to all known, was a bright spark in this world and will be deeply missed.

Rebecca a loving mother to 9 year old Abel, a devoted wife to her husband Abraham ,always the joyful little girl to her father Varun and the ever caring elder sister to Veronica and Micah.

Rebecca was always passionate and she was so assiduous whenever there was a need for her family. She was always been a fighter for her family. When she came to know, that the most inspiring person in her life; her loving mom was diagnosed with cancer she was devastated, but she knew what she have to fight against. She rose to the occasion, supporting the family giving them the emotional strength and working long hours to support the financial challenges her family was facing. Her mom Kasthuri George passed away from cancer in 2016 .

It was a year later Rebecca herself was diagnosed with cancer . Rebecca was dismayed yet determined . She believed her faith will carry her through this challenges life was throwing at her. She was determined to fight it , and she did through her prayers through long 4 years. We saw a courageous women who stood up against cancer and determined to beat it. But the time have come for her to make the journey to the eternal path. She passed away this July the 16th , with the loved ones near her bedside.

She started at Virginia Medical College then moved to Michigan where she worked at Oakwood Medical Center Dearborn and then at Henry Ford Detroit. She finally moved to Windsor in 2010 and started working at Windsor Regional Hospital at Met campus.

As a loving and caring person Rebecca has touched a lot of people's hearts with compassion not just through her career but also in her personal life.

She was a devoted person in faith who enjoyed attending retreats, going on a bike ride with her son, baking, finding time to tend to her roses in her garden and also love going for long drives.

May her soul rest in peace.
