A native of Buncombe County, she was a 1984 graduate of T.C. Roberson High School, attended Biltmore Church of God and was a daughter of James Carlos Rice, Jr. and his wife, Sarah "Polly" Snider Rice of Asheville and the late Estie Worley Rice.
Patti loved stuffed animals, Hot Wheels Cars, watching TV, DVD's, cartoons, shopping, eating macaroni & cheese and sweets, especially chocolate and was an avid sports fan.
Surviving in addition to her father and step-mother are her sister, Rita Gibson (Tom) of Huntersville; brother, Richard "Rick" Rice of Donalds, SC; several nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, December 1, 2021, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Dale Whitson officiating.
Burial will follow at Shepherd Memorial Park, Hendersonville.
