Upon graduation from Indiana University, he was a teacher. Philip then operated Howard Photo Finishing Plant, prior to founding Howard Properties Inc. which established and managed commercial office parks in Fort Wayne. Philip was an avid stock car racing fan and entered his own cars into competition throughout the country with NASCAR, USAC, and ASA.
Philip was preceded in death by his brothers, Roderick Howard, and John Howard.
Service is 11 am, Monday, December 6, 2021 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, with calling one hour prior. Calling also Sunday, December 5, 2021 at the funeral home from 2 pm to 5 pm.
