Heather Nichols, age 48, of Stateville, N.C. Loss her baffle against cancer at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. She led a life of animal rescue, and still had plenty of love left for family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dara Ann Birley Locke; her father Harry James Locke; a brother Jay Locke ; brother-in-law John Pessa. Survivors, Heathers husband of 29 years. Kevin D. Nichols; Son Richard Sardinian III, a daughter Ashley M. Nichols and son James (Ashley) Nichols; 4 grandchildren; all of Statesville, N.C.. 1 sister Catherine Locke Pessa of Erie Pa. Her nieces and nephews all of Erie, Pa.
