The immediate cause of her death was paralysis. In the passing away of Mrs. Cox Grant county loses another pioneer settler. She was born in Pennsylvania in 1825. She was married to Jacob Eby and came to Grant county in 1856, settling on a farm in Washington township. About three year about coming to Indiana Mr. Eby died. About three years after his death she was married to William Cox of Washington township. Six children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Eby, four of whom are living. They are Adam F. Eby of Howard, Kans.; Jacob G. Eby of New Albany, Kans.; Jennie and Anna Eby of this city, with whom the mother lived."
