John Quinton Stephenson, 73, a resident of Callaway, Virginia passed away Tuesday, November 23,2021 at his home.

A native of Garysburg, North Carolina he was the son of the late Quinton Judson Stephenson and Amanda Eloise Stephenson. He was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. He was a great and loving husband, father and grandfather. He took great pride in any endeavor he started and strived to never leave a job undone. He cared greatly for the community and his friends and was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever he could. He shared a great love for his country and served in the Vietnam War.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 1,2021 at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor, 834 N. Main St., Creedmoor from 12:30-1:45 PM.

Surviving are his wife, Sherry Stephenson of the home; two sons, Scott (Paula) and Jason (Christie); three sisters, Dolly Guam of Raleigh, Jackie Heffelfinger (Michael) of Bedford and Eula Stephenson of Roanoke Rapids; six grandchildren, Austin, Camden, Hallie, Gage, Megan and Chloe and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 1,2021 at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor at 2:00 PM officiated by Pastor Paul Parido. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens in Creedmoor.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lighthouse Baptist Church, 49 Jason St., Rocky Mount, Va. 24151.
