Patricia Anne Pierce. passed away at her home on Wednesday November 10, 2021, with her family by her side. She was born on November 3, 1930 to the late Alvin d. Davis and Hazel B. Stone Davis in Chicago, IL. She was the oldest of nine children.

Her family moved to Indianapolis prior to her starting school. Pat was exceptionally intelligent, an honor student and loved mathematics. Art was her next love, and she enjoyed it while attending the John Herron Art Institute. Pat was a graduate of Warren Central High School, class of 1949 and later attended Butler University. She began her employment with the Army Finance Center at Fort Benjamin Harrison, working in finance. Several years later, a new job moved her to Milwaukee, WI and subsequently to Evanston, IL, where she met and married Warnett Pierce and of this union their daughter Robin Rene was born. returning to Indianapolis, she gained employment in the Indianapolis school; system and retired in 2000 from Northwest High School as a financial secretary and bookkeeper. Bored, following retirement, she decided to work at the newly built Avon Walmart. She spent nearly 10 years there.

Pat enjoyed family time with road trips, gardening, and movies. She looked forward to the various seasons and made a hobby of nature watching. She enjoyed collecting elephant figurines and tchotchkes from family and friends.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents as well as her siblings, Marian Davis Wilson (Saul Thomas) and Norma Jean Meriweather. Thise left to cherish her memory are one daughter, Robin Rene, and her loving siblings, Phyllis Lyngsgaard (Jorgen), Lois Davis-Wilson (Sherald), Elizabeth Martin (Freeman), Robert Davis (LIdia)Kathryn Toren and Marcia Davis; her brother-in-law, Charles Merriweather (Betty); as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral Mass will be held Tuesday November 30, 2021 at 12 noon at Crown Hill Funeral Home and cemetery, 700 W. 38th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46208. Viewing will begin at 1o0 am until time of service. Please join her family and friends in remembrance.
