Roberta Ann McReynolds, age 66 of Joplin, MO. passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021 at Freeman Hospital following a 15 year battle with cancer.

Roberta was born on September 7, 1955 in Lockwood, MO., the daughter of Robert and Mary (King) Carns. Roberta spent her working years educating the youth in the area as a Teacher and Librarian, most recently at Eastmorland Elementary School in Joplin, retiring in 2011. She loved to work on genealogy projects and other research. Roberta was also a member of the Mount Hope Church of Christ.

She married Frank McReynolds on June 3, 1977, he survives. Additional survivors include her son; Scott McReynolds and his wife Stefanie of Fayetteville, AR., the three best grandsons; Logan, Caleb and Austin McReynolds, two sisters; Rebecca Swinney and Regina Reynolds both of Bolivar, MO., numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of beloved friends.

Roberta was preceded in death by her parents and by her son, Brad McReynolds in 2015.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Mount Hope Church of Christ Missions Fund or to God's Resort in care of the mortuary.

Funeral services have been scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 2, 2021 at the Mount Hope Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Bona Cemetery. The family will receive friends during a time of visitation from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday evening at Mason-Woodard Mortuary.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
