Julie Ann Foster departed this life surrounded by her family on Friday, November 5, 2021, at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, at the age of 63. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.

A memorial service celebrating Julie's life is at 2:00 p.m., November 30, 2021 at Mobley-Groesbeck Chapel with Pastor Johnny Bilby officiating.

The daughter of Joe Lee Foster and Nina Aldene (Luster) Foster was born December 20, 1957, in Lynwood, CA. Julie attended elementary school at Chouteau Elementary before moving to Berryhill and graduating in 1976. She was active in Vocational Office Education and was a member of the Pep Club. She took classes at Magic Bottle where she learned how to run and operate her own business and received her Associates Degree from Tulsa Junior College. At the age of 14, Julie went to work at Webber's Root Beer with her sister Sherry. She would later work for Tulsa Screw Products, Unit Rig, and the Tulsa County Courthouse. Julie also worked at Tulsa Greenhouse where she learned how to arrange flowers and grow plants and flowers. Julie's most recent career was handling the bookkeeping and accounting for Chandler Engineering and WebCo. She also worked at Macy's in the warehouse before enjoying life at home with her beloved Melvin.

Julie had a passion for caring for and rescuing animals. Throughout the years, she had many different pets, including goats, a calf, an African Gray parrot, and many dogs, her favorite being Dobermans. Julie was so proud of her dogs, and they went with her wherever she would go.

Julie loved being outdoors with nature. She had a green thumb and loved to be outside digging in the dirt gardening, growing beautiful flowers and plants, and watching the hummingbirds in her yard. During Christmas each year, she would decorate her yard with a beautiful display of lights for everyone to enjoy. Her favorite holiday was Christmas because she enjoyed making gifts and loved all the decorated Christmas trees and the lights on everyone's houses. Julie also enjoyed going to the lake and camping with her family and friends. She enjoyed boating and going to the boat races. She was also a big fan of drag racing.

Julie was always upbeat and happy with a smile on her face; she had the brightest smile. She was caring and loving to everyone she met and loved to spend time with family and friends. She also enjoyed reading, wouldn't turn down a good book. When she was able, she attended Allen Church in Sapulpa with her mother.

She is preceded in death by her father, Joe, her grandparents, Alvin E. Luster, Nina Belle Luster, Rilby (Maxville) Foster, and Ranzy Foster.

Julie is survived by her mother, Nina Foster of Sapulpa; her siblings: Sherry Gregory and husband Wayne of Glenpool, Danny Foster and wife Cina of Sand Springs, Robert Foster and wife Sharon of Tulsa, and Tammy Jackson and husband Mike of Sand Springs; nieces and nephews: Crystal Brooks and husband John, Shadawna Newnum, Mendy Kennedy, Nicole Lehman and husband Jesse, Daniel Foster and wife Kyla, Scott Foster and wife Stephanie, Jessica Gregory and Conley Jackson; great-nieces and nephews: Hayden Brooks, Madisen Kennedy, Dominik Foster, Aaliyah Lehman, Jordan Kennedy, and Noah Wilson; and her loving companion, Melvin Branham. A note, this time in our World a Covid 19 virus has hit and many deaths have occurred, this does not mean they have passed from the disease, however, a note that there has been a spike in cremations and either no services or limited people at a service.
