"Clyde C. Lamond Dies at Belle Haven"
BELLE HAVEN (AP) --- Clyde C. Lamond Sr., 56, president of the Citizens' Bank of Alexandria and former president of the Clarendon Trust Company, died at his home yesterday after a long illness. He established the Potomac River Clay Works in 1907 and became its president. It is now operated by his sons, Clyde C. Lamond Jr. and A. Slater Lamond. He was director of the Clarendon Trust Company and of the Federal Savings and Loan Association of Arlington County and also of the Arlington Hall Junior College for Girls at Ballston. He was born in Wellsville, Ohio. In 1907 he married Mary E. Slater of Alexandria, who died in 1928. His two sons were by that marriage. In 1931 he married Hilda Ross Meyer of Easton, Md., who survives.
