Daniel F. Moore passed away unexpectedly at Maine Medical Center in Portland on Nov. 14, 2021, at the age of 68.

Dan was born in Lewiston on Feb. 11, 1953, to Robert and Laurette Moore. After graduating from Lisbon High School, Dan had a lifelong career at Bath Iron Works until he retired in 2018.

During his time at BIW he met his wife, Karen, and they were married on March 2, 1996.

He was a kind hearted, quiet man, who took pride in his home and loved spending time with his dogs (often seen sleeping on his chest), gardening, doing projects on his tractor, fishing, hunting, canoeing, and camping. He especially liked sitting contently by a campfire while listening to the oldies. He liked barbecuing and creating culinary delights for friends and family. He and Karen loved to go exploring with no destination in mind, stopping at yard sales or showing up at someone's house.

He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Karen Moore; his daughters Karen Cloutier and husband Rodney, Kristine Robbins, stepdaughter, Racquel Moody and husband Mike; siblings Diane Brown, Debra Wilson and husband Sam, David Moore and wife Allison, Lisa Cloutier and husband Rick, sister-in-law, Laurie Olmsted and husband Jim; and mother, Laurette Moore. He also leaves his beloved grandchildren Kaitlyn, Evan, Hannah, Hunter, Garrett, Ryan, Brooke, Shaunacy, Dean, and Kristin; great-grandchildren Greensley, Grier, and Theo; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and close friends David Heath, Dan Richards, and Doug Fales.

Dan was predeceased by his father, Robert Moore; sister, Claudette Berry; stepson, Galen Penney; and good friend, Tim Brown
