Burlington – Barbara L. Stevens, age 60, passed away peacefully at her residence on November 10, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 11, 1961, in Racine to parents, Donald and Lois (nee. Watkins) Braden. Barbara attended Park High School and Gateway Technical College, where she earned a degree as a Certified Nursing Assistant. For 21 years, she worked as a CNA, where she helped and took care of many people.

Barbara lived life to the fullest and lived an active life outside of her work. She enjoyed reading many books, camping, riding motorcycles and her 4-wheeler. More than anything, Barbara treasured the time spent with her family and friends. She will be remembered for her loving and hardworking nature and will be dearly missed.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Patrick "PJ"; beloved fur baby, Bear; children, Justin (Emily) Vara and Anthony (Amanda Putzer) Vara; grandchildren, Logan, Everly, Aubree and Abigail; siblings, Bonny Sanroman, Daniel (Brenda) Braden, Billy Jo (Leslie) McCutchen, and Ben (Tia) McCutchen; PJ's siblings, Kathy, William "Bill", Eddie, and Pete; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Lois, and sister, Brenda Starks.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, November 20, 2021, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. Memorial services will follow at 3:00 pm.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff from Aurora at Home Hospice, for their wonderful care of Barbara.
