James Emory Walters, 60, was born September 29, 1961 to Juda Faye Walters and the late Corbett Walters of Orrum, NC. He departed from this life on November 24, 2021.

He was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Alyssa Boerste.

He is survived by his wife, Jamie Walters of the home; daughter, Jessica Boerste (Graig) of Derby, KS., daughter, Tabitha Joyce of Hope Mills, NC; son, Joshua Walters (Jackie) of San Antonio, TX., sons, Dylon and Dawson Turbeville of the home; nine grandchildren, Cody, Madison, Haylee, Erik, Emily, Julian, Gavin, Toni, and Everleigh; three sisters, a brother, and many nieces and nephews, as well as several dear friends. James proudly served his country in the US Navy for twenty-two and a half years. Throughout his military career he was awarded numerous medals, awards and accommodations for his outstanding patriotic service. James was a member of the Fair Bluff Church of God, where he served as a clerk of the church for the last two years.

One life lived; many lives touched. James was a much-loved husband., father, son, and friend. He will always be loved and never be forgotten. Your life was a blessing, your memory was a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. Fair winds and following seas my brother. Rest easy, as we have the watch.

A walk-through visitation will be held Sunday, November 28, 2021 from 12 noon until 2:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont.

A graveside service will be held following the visitation at 3:00PM in the Walters Family Cemetery on Princess Anne Rd. Orrum.
