Mrs. Virginia C. Martin, age 90, of Rome, GA, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021, at a local hospital.

Mrs. Martin was born in Etowah County, Alabama on October 10, 1931, the daughter of the late Raymond Herbert Garner and the late Dovie Garner. She graduated from Emma Sansom High School in Gadsden, Alabama. She was a member of Shorter Avenue Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, C. L. Martin, by her brothers, Winford Garner and Eulice Garner, and by her sister, Trisha Patterson.

She is survived by her children, Anita Roberson and her husband, Billy, Craig Stephens and his wife, Teresa, and Kenny Stephens and his wife, Dee; her brother, Dale Garner and his wife, Peggy; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at 1:00pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, Oaknoll Chapel, with the Rev. Max Tucker officiating. Interment will follow in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery in Gadsden, Alabama.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, Oaknoll Chapel, from 12:00pm until the service hour.
