Donna Rae Young daughter of the late Earl and Cleo Malin Wood was born on August 11, 1935 in Malden, Missouri and departed this life on November 23, 2021 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri at the age of 86.

Mrs. Young was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Dexter. She had operated a beauty shop and was also a homemaker. She loved helping at the different churches she had attended by teaching children's Sunday school classes and playing the piano and organ. She also started the TOPS chapter in Dexter.

On October 10, 1955 she was united in marriage to Glenn Young in Hernando, Mississippi. Mr. Young survives of their home in Dexter.

Other then by her husband Glenn, she is survived by two daughters, Karen Robinson, and Ladon and husband Jeff Malloy both of Dexter; by one sister, Barbara Spitzer of Bernie; by four grandchildren, Michelle Malloy, Jeffery Malloy, Ryan Humphrey and James Robinson all of Dexter; and by five great-grandchildren, Seth Malloy, Austin Malloy, Jeffery Malloy, Melora McKay and Emelia Mckay all of Dexter.

Other than by her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Lindley and Elizabeth Ann Wood.

Visitation will be conducted on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 from Noon until 2:00 p.m. in the Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral services will then be conducted on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Ron Williams officiating. Interment will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
