He worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Hubbard Construction for nearly 20 years and in his latter years volunteering for a local food bank. William was an avid fisherman and was a founding member of the Bo-Key Riders of Sanford, Florida.

He leaves to mourn his passing, children; Brenda (Errol) Allen, Lakeland, FL, Lashanna Lowery-Green (Tyrone), Lashawn Lowery, William H. Lowery, Jr, Milton People all of Sanford, and William Henry "Jerk" (Bridget), Deltona FL; brothers: James H. Lowery, Sr., Herbert (Pamela) Lowery, Reginald B. (Melessa) Lowery, Tyrone E.
