Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church with Rev. Chad Partain officiating. Interment will follow in Alexandria Memorial Gardens under the direction of John Kramer & Son Funeral Home.

Marjorie Vanlangendonck Johnson, 90, passed away on November 25, 2021, in Alexandria, Louisiana.

Marjorie Johnson is preceded in death by her parents, Mary Anna Thiels and Francis Vanlangendonck; and her husband of 65 years, Leonard E. Johnson.
Marjorie Johnson was born on April 6, 1931. She was a lifetime member of St. Frances Cabrini Church in Alexandria, celebrating her marriage to Leonard Johnson on April 7, 1951, serving as a member of the Sanctuary Society, and volunteering with the Cabrini nursing home ministry.

Marjorie Johnson was a loving wife and mother, a celebrated homemaker for 25 years, raising six beautiful children. Marjorie continued her education and received an Associate Degree in Nursing from LSUA in 1971. Mrs. Johnson served as a Registered Nurse in both Huey P. Long Medical Center and Pinecrest Development Center in Pineville.

Those left to cherish her memory include her six children: Ruby Elizabeth Johnson; Theresa Diane Johnson Robichaux and husband Jerry; Christopher Francis Johnson and his wife Susan; Miriam Cecile Johnson Clay and husband Ken; Dorothy Lynn Johnson Blundell and husband Bob; and Thomas Gerard Johnson. Also her brother, Richard Wayne Vanlangendonck and wife Sylvia; sister, Mary Louise Dunn and her husband John, and sister, Susan Marie Marshall and husband Brenner; 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, in the Kramer Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the following organizations: Diocesan Priests Retirement Fun – St. Joseph Catholic Center, 4400 Coliseum Blvd., Alexandria, LA 71303; St. Frances Cabrini Church Building Fund, 2207 E.
