Pamela Ann (Stanek) Scott
July 10, 1958 ~ November 23, 2021

Pamela Ann Stanek Scott, 63, of Borger, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, November 23, 2021.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, November 29, 2021 at the Church of Christ at Borger with Mr. Wes Balentine officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Pam was born in Cleveland, OH to Thomas Stanley Stanek and Geraldine Marie (nee Hrach) Stanek on July 10, 1958. She graduated from Valley Forge High School and went to a professional school to be a secretary. It was there in Parma Heights that she met the love of her life James Carr Scott when he came to visit his brother, Johnie, her neighbor. They wrote letters back and forth for months until James proposed to Pam by a windmill in the Texas Panhandle. Of course, she said yes and they were married February 10, 1978. This sparked her love of windmills! They were happily married for 43 years. Their love was not of this world and was so deep. This love is shown through their children that were taught that family is everything! There was so much love between everyone and the family was extremely close.

She moved to Texas and started her life as a secretary for J&J Panhandle Construction and later AMC Welding and Construction. Pam was smart and could figure out anything that stumped her. She could move mountains. Pam went to work for Wal-Mart in the 90's where she met many people that she called friends and retired after 17 years. She worked in receiving and then later in the pharmacy as a department manager. She still managed AMC Welding and Construction, worked at Wal-Mart, and cared for James and her 3 children that loved her dearly. She would go to work and help James weld on jobs and work cattle. These two were rarely separated from each other. She loved to garden, canned everything from the garden, read, cross stitched, and had a deep passion for genealogy. Mowing grass and being outside were her passions. Pam collected pedal cars and Mary Moos, which she had quite the collection of both! She also collected toothpick knives and Dillinger's. She could not get enough watching the oldest granddaughter, Rebecca, play basketball! She loved to watch her grandchildren ride their horses and practice roping. When she was unable to watch the kids show their animals at stock shows, she would enjoy watching them online. Her grandchildren brought her so much joy and happiness! Pam had such a love for her children and was always the counselor to anything that may arise. Everyone that knew her, knew the kind and gentle heart she had and was a friend to so many.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Geraldine Stanek, and her Uncle Steven Fialkowski.

Left to remember her memory and forever in their hearts are her husband, James Scott of the home; daughters Jennifer Orand and husband Shannon of Borger, Jeanette Tracy and husband Roy of Borger; son James Scott, II of Borger; grandchildren Rebecca Tracy, Justin Tracy, Courtney Orand, Emma Orand, Dylan Orand, Lillian Scott, Jaycee Scott, and Carlee Scott; brother, Thomas Stanek, Jr. and wife Val; and two sisters, Debra Bilter and husband Clark, Shirley Van Niel and husband Chris.
