JAMES M. 'BOGAN' FOWLER

Mr. James Malcomb "Bogan" Fowler, age 91, widower of Betty F. Fowler of Brookside Dr., Jonesville, passed away Friday, November 26, 2021, at Union Medical Center.
Mr. Fowler was born in Jonesville, April 17, 1030, a son of the late James Harrison Fowler and Bessie Arnold Fowler. Mr. Fower was a retired deputy with the Union Co. Sheriff's Office and had started his career as an officer with the town of Jonesville. More recently, Mr. Fowler worked as a bailiff at the Union Co. courthouse. He was a veteran of SC National Guard having served for 15 years with the Jonesville unit and he was a member of Gilead Baptist Church.
Mr. Fowler was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by a niece, Teresa Wright and husband Bruce of Jonesville and several great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Emma Mae O'dell and a brother, Ray Fowler.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 28, 2021, at Jonesville Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Ralph Brown.
Memorials may be made to Oakbrook Community Church. PO Box 538, Jonesville, SC 29353.
The family will be at their respective homes.
