She was the eldest daughter to Henry Ivey Joyner and the late Betty Harris Joyner of Waycross. Mrs. Brown traveled the east coast with her late husband Jimmie before planting roots here in Waycross. She was deeply devoted to her family and friends. She loved cooking, music, dancing in the kitchen, sweet tea and her little animals. Mrs. Brown was especially proud of her grandchildren and adored her great-grandchildren. Her faith unshaken she lived her life by these bible verses from: Matthew 25:34-36 and John 15:13. She was a member of Bible Heritage Pentecostal Holiness Church.
In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jimmie James Brown, Sr.; two brothers, Ivey Joyner, Paul Joyner and one grandson, Joshua Keith Turner.
Mrs. Brown is survived by seven children, Billy Joyner and his partner Robert of Waycross, Matthew Brown of Waycross, Roger Brown and his wife Cathy of Waycross, Becky Hickox and her husband Jonathan of Waycross, Carol Brossoit and her husband Michael of Rensselaser, New York, Jimmie Brown, III and his wife Jan of Waycross, David Brown and his wife Priscilla of Pueblo, Colorado; 18 grandchildren, Bethany, Kristin, Joshua McKendree, Elijah Brossoit, Odin Stennett, Laura and Nathan Joyner, Gage and Emily Brown, Kira, Jacob, Devon, Wyatt, Rico and Katherine Brown; eight great grandchildren; her father, Henry Ivey Joyner; four sisters, Sheila Sweat, June Joyner, Lorraine Davis, Alice Eddison; her dearest lifelong friend, Timothy McBee; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A visitation will be held Monday (November 29, 2021) from 4-5pm at Miles-Odum Funeral Home.
