The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 22, 2021 at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Eden, NC with the funeral beginning at 1:00 p.m. Followed by burial at Hamlin Cemetery, Eden, NC.

Mrs. Ruby "Earlene" Jackson, daughter of the late Earl Corbett and Rev. Lillian Faye Corbett Taylor and step-father, James Taylor was born in Caswell County, July 29, 1947. She departed her life November 15, 2021 at Brian Center, Eden, NC.

She attended Douglass High School, Eden, NC. Earlene worked as a cook at Morehead Hospital, Eden, NC, Holiday Inn and Embassy Suite of Greensboro, NC.

Ruby loved to cook and travel the world and was very friendly, who loved to talk. She was a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church of Eden, NC, where she loved going until her health declined.

She was also preceded by her son, Ernest David Hairston, Jr. and brother, Steve Corbett.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her husband; Jackie Jackson of the home, four loving daughters; Wendy Brown (Kenneth), Carmileen Simpson both of Eden, NC, Nicole Hairston of Greensboro, NC, Samantha Moore of Raleigh, NC, son; Darren Moore of Raleigh, NC. grandchildren; Brittany Levan (Kelly), Branden Hairston (Passion) both of Greensboro, NC, Courtney Hairston of Cary, NC, Precious Moore, Dyriq Moore both of Raleigh, NC, six great grandchildren, three sisters; Sara Dillard, Janice Corbett, Sheila Taylor of Eden, NC, two brothers; Donnell Corbett of Reidsville, NC, James Taylor, Jr. (Jennifer) of Pensacola, FL. Two sisters-in-law; Annie Corbett of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Sandra Williams of Greensboro, NC, two brothers-in-law; Jimmy Jackson (Darlene), Anthony Jackson (Andrea)of Raeford, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
