She was born May 23, 1953 in Keokuk, IA the daughter of Claude "Tom" and Leona M. Abrahams Nixon. Janice graduated from Keokuk High School with the class of 1971 and attended Southeastern Community College in Keokuk.
She had been employed at several local businesses through the years including Woolworth, Keokuk Area Hospital and Casey's in both Keokuk and Montrose, IA.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Keokuk and was also a member of the Keokuk Jayceettes.
Janice enjoyed shopping, traveling and was an avid Elvis Presley fan. She was a left handed golfer and always liked playing a round of golf. She also enjoyed all types of crafts, especially crocheting and jewelry making. Janice adored all of the people at the nursing home. She loved playing card games and Bingo with them and was ecstatic when she won a prize.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Sandra Rae Nixon and Becky Worster.
