She was born March 4, 1945 in Congress Township to Sam and Ethel (Betson) Ward. She was a graduate of Northwestern High School in 1963.
She married Dwight Ogden June 22, 1964 and they operated a dairy farm in Chester Twp. for 32 years where she also had a beauty shop in their home. She was very active in Wayne Co. Dairy Promoters and was a member of New Pittsburg Fire Department Women's Auxiliary for 40 years. She was also on the rescue squad for 20 years.
She was an active member of Oak Chapel United Methodist Church for many years where she was a kindergarten Sunday school teacher. She was Treasurer of Northwestern-Norwayne Religious Education for many years.
She loved flowers and showing them at the Wayne Co. Fair. She also enjoyed attending their grandson's sporting events.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Dwight, son, William of Wooster, daughter, Chris (Andy) Cochran of Chester Twp., sister, Barbara (Ross) Oehling of Red Haw and special grandson, Travis Cochran.
She was preceded in death by her parents, special aunt and uncle, Esther and Don Swineford, sisters-in-law Jane Wachtel and Eleanor Kjelby and brother-in-law, Jim Ogden.
Services will be Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Oak Chapel United Methodist Church, 4203 W. Old Lincoln Way, Wooster with Rev. Robin D. Dillon officiating. Burial will be in the Reedsburg Cemetery.
