Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Lee Wood, 64, of Henderson, will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, Nov. 26, 2021 at Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Rodney McDuff officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home of Henderson.
Visitation will be from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m., Friday, Nov. 26, 2021 at the funeral home.
Mr. Wood passed away November 23, 2021, at UT Health in Henderson. He was born January 2, 1957 in Henderson to the late J.B. and Maudie Wood. He attended Gaston schools, and was a member of Middle Cross Baptist Church. Thomas never met a stranger - he loved everyone he met and they loved him back. His favorite thing was to go to church and hear God's Word. He loved music and also loved to sing, until his health declined, then his church would sing to him. He loved his second family at Henderson Health and Rehab for the loving care they gave him for many years. UT Health Henderson also has taken care of him and their care is greatly appreciated.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John Wood, William Wood, and Terry Wood, and sister, Shirley Wood; and brother-in-law, Steven Temple.
Survivors include: brother, Leon Wood, Sr., sisters, Kay Rogers and husband John, Carolyn Temple, and Darlene Whitlock.
Pallbearers are Johnathan Rogers, Todd Chastain, Brayden Chastain, Johnny Rogers, and Kevin Temple.
