Thomas "Tom" Ross, 64, passed from this life Sunday, November 21, 2021. He was the beloved son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Glenn H. Ross. Tom was born August 24, 1957, in South Bend, IN, but spent all of his life in Rockford, IL. He was a proud graduate of Boylan Central Catholic High School, Class of 1976. Animals were his passion and he loved taking care of his many pets. He enjoyed taking pictures of the world and animals he came in contact with. Tom was an active member and performer in the Stars of Light. He performed with them for over 15 years.

Tom leaves behind four brothers and sisters. Kathy (Matt) Ripplinger, Lanark, IL, Larry (Carol) Ross, Rockford, IL, Sandra (Rick) Everhart, Tryon, NC, and John (Laura) Ross, Memphis, TN; six nieces and nephews with 11 great- nieces and nephews.

Tom's family would like to thank the staff of Forest City Rehab for all the kind and loving care they took of Tom. Many thanks to Tom Fay, who was a mental health supporter and friend to Tom for many years. Our thanks to Goodwill who supported Tom and gave him a job.

Funeral mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4401 Highcrest Road, Rockford, IL 61107 on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 10:30 am. Interment in Willwood Burial Park immediately following.
