"Benjamin F. "Cap" Armstrong, 69, of 200 Radcliff Road, Willow Street, died Tuesday at the St. Joseph Hospital after a long illness. He was the husband of Betty J. Patton Armstrong. He was a self-employed metal finisher for about 20 years, up until his illness. Before that, he worked for the Slaymaker Lock Co. for 30 years. He was a foreman in the lock assembly department when he retired in 1971. He graduated from Quarryville High School in the earl 1930s. Born in Smithville, he was the son of the late Benjamin F. W. and Elsie F. Pollack Armstrong. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters: Sandra L., Mountville; Bonnie M., wife of Kenneth Ray, Strasburg; Betty J., Holtwood; and Donna M., wife of Roy Daughtery, Willow Street; a son, John R., at home; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister, Ruth, wife of Harry Gorton, West Grove; and three brothers: Norman and Hugh, both of New Providence; and Homer, Wilmington, Del."

King St., Lancaster, Pa. on Friday at 11 o'clock a.m. with the Reverend William W. Spiegelholder officiating. Interment in Clearfield Methodist Cemetery, Providence Twp. Friends may call at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., on Thursday from 7 until 9 p.m. and also on Friday from 10 until 11 a.m."
