Her funeral will be held Saturday May 15, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Stutts Funeral Home with the Rev. Derrill Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.
Those serving as pall bearers will be Christopher Patterson, Jason Patterson, Keith Patterson, Clence Patterson, Dylan Patterson, and Logan Patterson; and as honorary pall bearer will be Zack Patterson.
The family will accept guests at Stutts Funeral Home Saturday afternoon from 1:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service.
Mrs. Patterson was born July 27, 1936 in Chambers County, AL to the late Theodore Franklin Mayo and Murle Grimes Mayo. She was a Baptist by faith.
She devoted much of her life to being a servant to her community. One of her jobs was the store manager for the Salvation Army. Alongside her husband, Clence, she served her customers and employees each day. She was always there when anyone had a time of need.
Times spent with family were especially precious to her. She loved to talk and was a very sociable person.
In her free time she enjoyed going fishing and playing "Bookworm" on the computer.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clence Russell Patterson; a son, Rusty Patterson; a granddaughter, Barbie Brown; and four siblings.
