He was the loving husband of Barbara Ann (Koehler) McIntyre for 67 years. Allen was born in Spring City, PA to the late James Alvin McIntyre and the late Dorothy Evelyn (Stoudt) McIntyre.
He graduated from Williamson College with a degree in art and design.
Allen was employed as an International Sales and Marketing Manager for Sherwin-Williams for over 40 years and retired with many awards and honors.
He was a member at Bible Fellowship Church in Harleysville, PA. Before that, Allen moved around with his job and served in many churches in PA, MD, OH, and Brazil. He loved singing in the choir, supporting missions and hosting missionaries, and serving as a deacon.
His job took him to many different countries and he got the privilege to share Christ with many people. He was a Gideon and helped place the Word of God in many hands around the world.
He looked forward to spending time with family and made the family reunions special on the Chesapeake Bay in MD. He enjoyed fishing and boating and taught his grandchildren to love the water. He enjoyed the flower show at Peter Becker and mixing all the colors for the artists.
He is survived by: Two Daughters, Cindy (Dutch ) McIntyre-Lerch of Washington, DC; Nancy (Craig) Ringer of Salisbury, MD; Four Sons, David (Desiree) McIntyre of Spring City, PA; Timothy (Carla) McIntyre of Slatington, PA; Daniel (Justina) McIntyre of Harleysville, PA; Mark (Linda) McIntyre of Carrabelle, FL; Sister, Faye (Cliff) Bishop of Harleysville, PA; 19 Grandchildren, 10 and Great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: His parents James and Dorothy McIntyre and his grandson Ronnie Powell.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 28, 2021, at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home and Crematory, 130 E. Broad St., Souderton, PA 18964 from 10:00-10:30AM. A Funeral service will follow the Visitation time at 10:30-11:30AM. Private Burial will take place at Vincent Mennonite Cemetery, Spring City, PA
