Morgan Wiley Burns, 62, of Perry, FL, passed on to heaven to be with his Lord Jesus Christ and his family on November 23, 2021, at his residence in Perry, FL. Morgan was born September 20, 1959 in Perry to Joe P. Burns, Jr. and Dorothy Harper Burns. He was the beloved baby of the family.

He graduated from Taylor County High School in 1978. He excelled on the track team and was also a kicker for the TCHS football team.

He received his AS degree from Miami Dade Community College and received his embalmer and funeral director licenses in 1983. He continued to work for the family firm, Joe P. Burns Funeral Home, until he decided to join the Navy as a Hospital Corpsman Petty Officer 2nd Class in 1984 until 1989 when he was honorably discharged.

Morgan was a true friend and gentleman and never met a stranger. He lived by the Golden Rule as taught by his father.

Morgan is preceded in death by his parents Joe P. Burns Jr. and Dorothy Harper Burns, his brother, Joe P. 'Joey' Burns III.

He is survived by his two sisters, Bonnie B. Glover of Tallahassee and Barbara Jo Burns of Perry, his niece Cara S. Hill and her husband Luke of Monticello and his nephew Gray H. Sadler of Fair Grove Missouri. Special cousins John and Jay Taylor of Virginia Beach Virginia.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday November 28, 2021 at Pineview Memorial Gardens at 1:00 pm with Bro Kyle Hill officiating, the family will receive friends on Sunday prior to the service from 12:30pm to 1:00pm. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
