CORTLAND — Craig A Payne, 62, passed away Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital
He was born Aug. 6, 1959, in Palo Alto, Calif. He was the son of the late David and Beverly Griffiths Payne.
Craig was a 1977 graduate of Lakeview High School. Craig was a lifelong resident of Cortland and spent his life working at Payne Auto Body Inc. He continued doing auto body as a hobby. He enjoyed the company of his friends and was a fan of racing. Craig was one of a kind.
Craig is survived by his daughter, Jana Payne Ostrode of Warren; one brother, Jeff (Elaine) Payne of Warren; two grandchildren, Lily Miller and Jaxon Ostrode; his life partner, Lisa Ferguson of Cortland, and her sons, Matthew, Justin and Nicholas Mullane.
