Mr. Golden was employed as a subcontractor for over 40 years owning and operating Golden Construction, retiring only after his health declined. He attended Ebenezer Baptist Church in Mableton. He enjoyed cooking for himself and his two sons as well as dining out (especially at "Off the Hook" in Daytona Beach to get their Rock Shrimp). Being on the water was his favorite hobby, whether water skiing, or fishing in fresh water or salt water, he enjoyed it all. He was a fan of southern rock music and loved to listen to his kids play music. He was always willing to help anyone out, as everyone says he was always a phone call away.
The family will receive friends Friday, November 26 from 5pm to 8pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 27 at 1pm in White Columns Chapel with Rev. Billy Lord officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Harmony Memorial Gardens.
