Mr. James Elzie Newton, age 77, of 245 Gin Circle, Buffalo, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at his home.
Mr. Newton was born in Buffalo, March 20, 1944, a son of the late James and Loree Phillips Newton. He was retired from MEMC in Moore and was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Surviving are two sons, Darrel Newton and wife Judy of Santuc and James Boyd Newton of Union; a daughter, Angie Newton of Union; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a special friend Jackie Barnes of Buffalo. He was predeceased by three sisters, Margie Garner, Brenda Scott and Francis Boulware; two brothers, Elijah Newton and Joe Edward Newton; and one grandson, Logan Newton.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, November 26, 2021, at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Ricky Cook. The family will receive friends immediately following the services at the cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Crescent Hospice, 839 Main Street, Suite D, Buffalo, SC 29321.
