Robert W. Gasper, age 72, of the Golden Beach Community near Barnett, died at his home, and was found July 29, 2006. He was born August 26, 1933 at St. Joseph, Missouri, a son of Lawrence and Myrtle Sadie Myers Gasper. He married Mary H. Ritzinger who preceded him in death. He later married Elaine Smith who also preceded him in death. Mr. Gasper was a retired clerk and mail sorter for the U.S. Postal Service in St. Joseph, and member of the Postal Worker's Union. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and member of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars. He is survived by three sons, Mike Gasper of Stewartsville, Harry Gasper of Hamilton, and Rodney Gasper of the home; one brother, Rex Gasper of Security, CO; one sister, Donna Compton of Gower; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
