Joyce Ellen Hubbard, 77, of McDermott, died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014, at Heartland of Portsmouth.She was born Jan. 31, 1937, in West Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Roy and Ruth Cook Nolder.Joyce was a homemaker, member of the Rush Free Baptist Church where she was the former pianist, and a member of the Rush Township Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Hubbard, Feb. 7, 2000; and one brother, Kenneth Nolder.She is survived by one daughter, Tammy Hubbard of Lucasville; two sons, Greg Hubbard and Mike (Diana) Hubbard, both of McDermott; two granddaughters and their fiancés, Michelle (Eric) and Tabitha (Jon); and three great grandchildren, Drew, Lexi, and Gabriel.Funeral services will be conducted at noon, Monday, Sept. 22, 2014, at the Rush Free Baptist Church on Duck Run, with Curt Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville and an hour before the service Monday at the church.The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff of Heartland of Portsmouth and Heartland Hospice for the wonderful care they gave to our mother.
