On September 4th, 1935, a baby girl was born to Vilo Williams and Joseph Wilken Pratt. They named her Amy Louisa. At the time of her birth, her family was living in the Mexican Colonies. Her mother crossed the border to give birth in El Paso, Texas to ensure that Amy was born a United States citizen. She lived in the Mexican Colonies until she was about four when her family moved to Arizona. After moving around Arizona for a few years the family moved to Idaho. After living in Idaho for about a year Amy's dad had had enough of the snow and moved the family back to Arizona.

Amy was in her high school marching band. She graduated high school in 1953 in Wilcox, Arizona. After high school, Amy pursued a nursing career in Idaho. While going to school Amy was set up on a blind date with LVern Christensen. They were married on August 20th, 1955 in the Mesa, Arizona LDS Temple. They lived together in Idaho where they had five children. Amy worked at various doctors offices and hospitals, having a successful nursing career.
LVern passed away in January of 1995. After his passing, Amy served an LDS mission to Brookings, Oregon. After completing her mission, she moved to Orem, Utah where she lived the rest of her life. Amy enjoyed volunteering, temple work and doing genealogy.

Amy passed on November 20th, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband and one child. She is survived by four children, 12 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
