She was born August 17, 1935, in Little Rock, AR, the daughter of Graves Brown Crutchfield and Myrtle Vera (Stevens) Crutchfield.
Her family moved to California during WWII where she graduated from Glendale High School in 1953. She grew up loving to dance and taught dance for a number of years. In 1965, she married Edward Earl Hay. She remained married to him until his death in 1977 and never remarried.
Patricia had three children, Joseph William Breiter, Kenneth Scott Breiter and Erin Patricia Hay Curtis.
After her husband's death in 1977, Patricia worked as an executive secretary for the District Attorney of Orange County, CA and then for the Architect & Engineer Division for the County of Orange, retiring in 1991. After retiring, she moved to Hendersonville, TN with her daughter, where she began a second career at AAA South. She worked in travel there until achieving her second retirement at the age of 80. After her second retirement, she spent her free time gardening, enjoying time with family and watching her favorite NBA team, the San Antonio Spurs.
Patricia was preceded in death by her father and mother, nine siblings and her son, Joseph.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Breiter, daughter, Erin Hay Curtis (Perley Curtis), granddaughter, Patricia "Tricia" Laurance (James Laurance), grandson Thomas Breiter (Michelle Breiter), granddaughter, Sarah Curtis, great grandson, Daniel Laurance, great grandson, Benjamin Laurance, great granddaughter, August Breiter.
An intimate graveside service will be held at Hendersonville Memory Gardens at 353 East Main St, Hendersonville, TN on Monday, November 29, 2021 at 10 AM outside the mausoleum where she will be interred with Brother Kent Riddle officiating.
