Susan J. (Campeau) Weaver, 67, of Maple Flats Rd., Cleveland, NY, formerly of Croghan, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021 at her home where she was under the loving care of her husband, from ovarian cancer.

Born August 22, 1954 in Lowville, NY, a daughter of William and Eleanor "Ree" (Davoy) Campeau, she attended Fr. Leo Memorial School in Croghan and was a 1973 graduate of Beaver River Central School.

Susie was born with the very rare Turner Syndrome and was a fighter from the beginning. Throughout her life, from early childhood forward, she had multiple surgeries, including open heart surgery, but always remained positive, compassionate and always wore a smile.

Following high school, Susie lived in the Syracuse area and was employed at Modern Kitchen of Syracuse where she eventually met the love of her life, Anthony "Tony" Weaver, who she married on June 14, 1978 in Central Square. After her marriage she became employed at Rite Aid Warehouse in Rome where she worked for over 25 years. She subsequently worked part-time for a few years until 2012 as a clerk at Vella's Northshore Market in Cleveland.

Susie loved baking, especially different kinds of bread, and particularly enjoyed walking with her husband on multiple mile jaunts around Sylvan Beach. She also liked reading and her occasional visits to the casinos and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, who provided such loving care to her during her 3 year battle with cancer; her mother, of Croghan; her step-daughter, of Redfield; two grandchildren; her eight siblings; her brother-in-law of Sandy Creek, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her father, William J. Campeau, Jr., her brother-in-law, Kenneth Updegraft, her father and mother-in-law, Hardman and Angeline Weaver, and her brothers-in-law, Millard and Joseph Weaver.

Arrangements are with Scanlon Funeral Home, Croghan.
