He was born in Two Egg, Florida on April 25, 1932, and was a resident of Dothan, Alabama since 1985.
Harold was a Credentialed Minister with the Assemblies of God for 72 years and was Ordained for 65 years. Throughout his ministry, he traveled all over the Southeast United States evangelizing. He went on to pastor several churches in Florida, including Glad Tidings Assembly of God in St. Petersburg, for 16 years. He also pastored Evangel Assembly of God in Dothan, Alabama until his retirement in 1997. He also served as an Assemblies of God Presbyter in the districts of Peninsular Florida and Alabama.
Family and service to his church were his love and passion. He was an avid reader and loved the Word of God.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Elijah Tyus and Sally Cloud Tyus, five sisters, and five brothers.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 27, 2021, from 11:30 A.M. to 1 P.M. at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home in Dothan, Alabama.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at 1 P.M. at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home in Dothan with Reverend David Fernandez and Reverend John Holly officiating. Interment will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
