Daughter and one of ten children born to Dura Bailey Jackson and Charles Homer Jackson. She grew up in Wedowee, AL. She was a 1954 graduate of Handley High School in Roanoke, AL, and was president of the 4H Club, member of the F.H.A and Student Council. She met her husband, Jasper "Sonny" Pike while she was in high school, married and later moved to Marietta, GA. She worked for several companies, including her job as a postal carrier for 20 years before retiring. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 67 years, Jasper; brothers, Herman, Charles, Ralph, Pete and James; sisters, Sue Dudley and Mary Kampe; and daughter-in-law, Tonya McBrayer Pike.
