Kenneth Lewis
Nov. 5, 1931 - Nov. 21, 2021
New Windsor, NY

Kenneth Lewis went into the presence of his Lord and Savior on November 21, 2021 at the age of 90. Ken was born in Lisburn, Northern Ireland to Elizabeth (Hylands) and William R. Lewis. Ken loved growing up in Ireland. He was active in sports during his school years, especially Rugby and Soccer, and graduated from Wallace High School. He loved his homeland. Memories of friends and loved ones there were dear to his heart. After moving to America he thoroughly enjoyed his many visits back home.

Ken traveled to America on the Queen Mary when he was 20 years old. Soon after arriving in America he served in the army during the Korean War. In recent years he had the privilege of traveling on the Honor Flight to Washington, DC, and enjoyed breakfast gatherings with veteran friends.

Ken worked as a mason for many years perfecting his craft. He was a proud second generation bricklayer and worked alongside his father William and brothers, Brian and William Jr., constructing many buildings throughout the Hudson Valley and New York City. Even in his 80s he built a beautiful chimney and fireplace in his home.

Ken was a member of Leptondale Bible Church and spent many years loving and serving the Lord. He enjoyed studying Bible Prophecy and reading the Word of God.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Tonya; daughters, Iris and Jennifer; and his brother, William, (wife, Janet). He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Brian (wife, Frances) and his sister, Wilma.

Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 am, followed by the funeral service at 11am on Saturday, November 27th at Leptondale Bible Church, 1771 NY-300, Newburgh, NY 12550. Burial will follow at Wallkill Valley Cemetery. The repast will be at the church, open to all, following the graveside service.
