HILDA'S OBITUARY
Hilda Ruth Decker brown, 93, of Sayre, Pennsylvania passed away on November 22nd, 2021, at the Robert Packer hospital. She was born on April 2nd, 1928, in Wyalusing, Pennsylvania a daughter of Benton L. And Marguerite R. Decker. On June 25th, 1949, she married Alfred E. Brown.
Hilda was a 1946 graduate of the Camptown high school. In 1949 she graduated from Moses Tyler Hospital School of Nursing as a registered nurse. Hilda and Al raise their daughters in Elmira Heights, New York. There she worked many years doing private duty nursing and at Schweitzer aircraft as a plant nurse. She was always very active in the Mothers Club and the Girl Scouts. They became very involved with the Mark Twain Cadets for years. She also was a very talented seamstress, making many formal gowns and even a leisure suit for Al. She sewed all her daughters' bridesmaid's gowns. They moved to Kissimmee FL in 1982 where Hilda became the charge nurse for the Good Samaritan Village Health Center. Residents loved having identical twin nurses, Anna and Hilda stopped to check on them in their golf carts. She and Anna would travel to the international twin conventions each year throughout the United States, often bringing home first prize. Other favorites were camping, cruising and casino visits, including several trips to Las Vegas.
Hilda was predeceased by her husband Alfred, her parents, her brother-in-law Chuck Reeve and her niece Sheila Biddle and her husband Peter. May they all be there on her arrival.
Hilda is survived by her daughters, Margo Faulkner and Dan of Slate Hill, NY, Melody Zolendjeski and David of Middletown NY, Michelle Newsome and Henry of Appling GA. Twin sister Anna Reeve, of Sayre. 6 grandchildren: Megan Hitt of Westtown, NY, Melissa Greeley, Cummings, GA, Lindsey Faulkner, Slate Hill NY, Amy Zucker Chester NY, Wayne Hoey II, Martinez GA, Melinda Brunson Sandy Springs GA, John Newsome Jupiter FL.
All services will be private with burial to take place at the Bradford County Memorial Park at the convenience of the family.
