Thomas Alfred Pearson, 98, died peacefully at Tawas Village in East Tawas, Michigan on November 19, 2021. He was born on May 27, 1923 in Redford, Michigan. His sister, Mary Donahue, and two brothers, Russel and Edgar, pre-deceased him. He grew up in Detroit where he began his model making career and became a very talented wood worker. He was proud to be a veteran who served in France in World War II. He married his first wife, Kathlyn Neville, in 1948 and had two daughters, Susan (deceased 2001) and Pamula Peludat. After losing his first wife to cancer in 1970, he met and married his second wife, a widow named Fran Kuczma, in 1972. He enjoyed a second marriage of 40 years until Fran's death in 2012. Fran had three children, James Kuczma (deceased 2013), Richard (Joan) Kuczma, and Peter (Stacey) Pearson. He left five grandchildren, Paul Kuczma, Ruth Kuczma Sager, Beth Kuczma, Peter Pearson and Amanda Pearson and two great-grandchildren, Eloise Sager and Isaac Sager.
Thomas Pearson donated his body to the University of Michigan Medical School. His remains will be returned to the family in 18 months. At that time there will be a graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery, East Tawas, when his remains will be interred next to Fran's.
