Roger Davis, of East Tawas, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Medilodge of Tawas City, age 82 years. Roger was born in Kentucky to Jeff and Delphie (Rowe) Davis on March 10, 1939. He worked for 33 years as a Flour Miller for Chelsea Milling Company. After his long working career, Roger was able to step away and enjoy his well-deserved retirement years! He was truly an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, golfing, fishing, and hiking in Arizona, where he and his wife, Joy, would spend their winters. Roger enjoyed a wide variety of music. He will always be remembered though for his talented skillset as a handyman. He put forth so much effort and precision to get every job or project he worked on to be the best it could be! Roger willingly gave countless dedicated hours of handyman service to the Tawas United Methodist Church. Roger was a long time member of the Rod and Gun Club in Chelsea, Michigan. He is survived by his beloved wife, Joy Davis, to whom he married in 1977 and he would commonly say, "The best thing that ever happened to me!"; 4 children, Rick (Peggy) Davis of Spring Arbor, Michigan, Lori (Jeff) Reynolds of Jackson, Sherie (Fred) Arbogast of Cape Coral, Florida, and Randall (Sari) Streets of Eugene, Oregon; many grandchildren; great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Fred and Dave Davis; 2 sisters, Marge Mullin, and Roberta Walker; and many special friends. Roger is preceded in death by his parents, Jeff and Delphine Davis; 4 brothers; and several nieces and nephews. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place
