She was born September 9, 1944 in Linton to Sheldon Dove and Dorothy (Edmondson) Dove.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, David Hayes of Jasonville, they married on February 9,
1961; children, Kelli Griffith (Greg) of Lewis, Kim Reynolds (Chuck) of Sullivan and Scott Hayes (Becky) of Worthington; grandchildren, Luke Griffith, Paige Wolf (Traver), Curt Griffith (Cortney), Chase Bell (Christina), Colton Bell, Emily Steward, Grace Cross (Kyle) and Olivia Hayes; 10 great-grandchildren; mother, Dorothy Dove of Jasonville; sister, Sue Preecs (Mike) of Danville and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Pat graduated Jasonville High School and attended Indiana State University. Pat retired from teaching at Spencer-Owen Community School Corporation. She attended Friendly Grove Baptist Church. She liked to read and travel with David. Pat loved her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids, enjoyed spending time with them and attending all their events.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. In keeping with Pat's wishes there will be a private family graveside service at Peavey Cemetery near Howesville.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Pat to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000 Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
