Funeral services for Carolyn McCoy, 78, of Shallowater, TX, will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Abell Funeral Home, Abernathy, TX, with Pastor Juan Flores officiating. Burial will follow in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX.

Mrs. McCoy died Saturday, November 20, 2021, in Lubbock, TX

She was born June 26, 1943 in Ballinger, TX to Roger and Peggy (Holland) Campbell. She married Fred D. McCoy, January 24, 1969 in Lubbock. Carolyn was a virtuous woman of strong christian faith. She loved her family but her world revolved around her children and grandchildren. She always had a smile and loved watching old westerns. She took care of the bookkeeping for their family business.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred D. McCoy, November 18, 2014, a daughter, Tina Willeby, March 2, 2020, son, Roger Wayne Powers, August 12, 2017 and a brother, Joe T. Campbell.

She is survived by 2 sons, Fred McCoy and wife Stephanie of Lubbock and Bill McCoy and wife Shonda of Shallowater, 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Lillian Timms of Moriarty, NM and Shirley McCoy of Chino Valley, AZ and a daughter-in-law, Sherri Powers.
