Catawba, SC – Mr. Robert Eugene Hoffman, Sr., 83, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 26, 2021 at Mount Holly United Methodist Church, 1996 Mount Holly Road, Rock Hill with Reverend J. Wayne Smith officiating. Burial will be in Mount Holly United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am in the Family Life Center prior to the service.
Born in Rock Hill, SC, Mr. Hoffman was the son of the late Joe H Hoffman and the late Gladys Craig Hoffman. He was also preceded in death by his son, Robert Eugene Hoffman, Jr. He was a retired veteran from United States Navy with 22 years of service. He was an active member of Mount Holly United Methodist Church and was a life long member of The Rock Hill Moose Lodge.
Mr. Hoffman is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Sue Bryson Hoffman; his daughter, Patricia Hoffman (Tommy) Greene of Rock Hill; his brother, Billy Joe "T-Bone" (Linda) Hoffman of Rock Hill; his grandson, William Alexander Hoffman and granddaughter, Madison K. Hoffman.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Hoffman's name to Mt Holly United Methodist Church 1996 Mt Holly Rd., Rock Hill, SC 29730; Building Fund or Food Pantry.
