Mr. David Ewing Gibson, 97, passed away on November 19, 2021 at Sayre Christian Village. He was born on October 17, 1924 in Lexington to the late Clay and Sally Gibson. David served his country proudly in the United States Army during WWII and the Korean War. He then went on to work for IBM where he retired after 30 years. David was a member of Southland Christian Church.
Survivors include his children, Rita Tunstill (Dennis), and David Gibson; his grandchildren, Travis Tunstill, Alison Tunstill, Justin Gibson (Laura), and Jaclyn Gibson; great-grandchildren, Miles Keegan Tunstill, and Ava Grace Angela Gibson.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Moss Gibson, James Gibson, Charles Gibson, Luther Dykes, and Rebecca Klugman; and his beloved wife, Nellie Maxine Gibson
Funeral services will be held at 12:30PM Monday, November 29, 2021 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home – Harrodsburg Rd. with visitation being held prior from 10:30AM-12:30PM Monday at the Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the Lexington Cemetery
