Mrs. Ada Scrimger Sanford, 94, of Montross, died Saturday, July 22, in Manassas Manor Nursing Home. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Agnes Jones of Zacata, Mrs. Elsie Balderson of Silver Spring, Md., Mrs. Virginia Kennett, of College Park, Md., and Miss Frances Sanford of Montross; two sons, Alvin Sanford of Washington, D. C., and Edward Sanford of Mount Ranier, Md.; two sisters, Mrs. Effie Cain and Mrs. Gladys Balderson, both of Indian Head, Md.; nine grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Currioman Baptist Church with Rev. Len Stevens officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were: Luther Sanford, Norman Balderson, Stewart Balderson, Frankie Sanford, Fulton McGinness, and Stan McGuinness.
