Muncie, IN - Robert C. "Bob" Spears, 93, passed comfortably on October 20, 2021. Born in Muncie, Indiana in 1928, he was a graduate of Burris High School, Purdue University, and the Wharton Business School. He was drafted by the Army during the Korean War, serving in the Pentagon. Bob spent his working career with PPG Industries Chemical Division, achieving much success, taking an early retirement at age 57. Entrepreneurial in spirit, Bob engaged in several business ventures thereafter. He loved to play golf, fish, and spend time on the water; but most of all he loved fostering friendships. Bob was a genuine, humble man who cared deeply for those in his circle. He is survived by his daughter, Jeannine (Crumley) and son, Dan. The family is holding a private celebration of life, and asks that any donations made in Bob's honor go to Meals on Wheels of Muncie, his favorite local charity.
